Microsoft 365 Migrations

What is Microsoft 365?

Microsoft 365 is a cloud based, software as a service (SaaS) solution. Microsoft 365 gives you access to the Microsoft Office applications you are familiar with from any location, on any device with an internet connection.

We have the expertise you need to migrate you to an Microsoft 365 environment!

With Microsoft 365, you can work from anywhere, on any device with an internet connection – as all of your documents will be saved to ‘One Drive’, your company’s storage drive in Microsoft’s cloud.

What are the benefits of migrating to Microsoft 365?

Microsoft 365 offers multiple benefits for your organisation such as:

Benefit from enterprise grade IT

At a fraction of what it would cost to run it yourself. Contact IT Department today to get started on Microsoft 365.

Work from anywhere, don’t let your location hamper you

You get several software installs per user, so you can install the full Office suite on several PCs – your office desktop, your home PC, and a couple of laptops and notebooks for example. All of your files are saved in the cloud, so you can access and edit them on any of these devices when you have an internet connection.

You’re not just restricted to devices on which you have installed Office programs either. Microsoft 365 does not limit you to any particular device in order to access your files. If you find yourself without access to one of these, you can still access and edit your files via Microsoft’s Online Web App versions of the Office Suite. You can even access all of these on your tablet or smart phone, be it Apple, Android or Windows. No need to mess around with a remote desktop client to access your files.

You don’t need to have Outlook installed and configured in order to access your emails. You can access these via a web app too, or on your smart phone or tablet. All of your mailboxes, contacts, tasks, calendars and read/unread statuses are synced across all devices, so no getting your wires crossed!

Benefit from reduced IT costs and easier management

With Microsoft 365, you pay a fixed monthly fee per user, which is small, predictable and manageable. To set up a comparable solution yourself would involve large upfront costs for equipment and labour, plus ongoing costs for maintenance.

Your monthly fee also includes use of the Microsoft’s Office applications that your staff are familiar with and have used for years. Instead of purchasing the software for each member of staff, your monthly fee that you pay per user, allows you to effectively “rent” the software. This also reduces large up-front costs, and is a much more manageable way of paying.

You will not have to worry about software updates and patches, all applications are automatically updated and patched in the background.

Improve your organisation’s collaboration and communication

Microsoft 365 includes Microsoft Teams, a collaboration and productivity platform, with features designed especially for efficient remote working. With Microsoft Teams, colleagues can communicate with each other via video, audio and chat functions, enabling them to stay connected throughout the day, wherever they are. Teams can also sync to Outlook calendars, displaying the availability status of each contacts to indicate when they’re in a meeting or when they’re available, so that people won’t bother trying to message you when you’re in a meeting.

You’ll also get access to SharePoint, an online file storage and sharing service for your organisation. You can easily save files to SharePoint and open them from there, straight from Word, Excel or another Office program. You can choose which files are shared with which contacts in your organisation. The contacts with access to the shared documents can then collaborate on these. As with the rest of the Microsoft 365 package, SharePoint can be hosted in the cloud in Microsoft’s data centres, so there’s no expensive servers to buy, and you don’t have the hassle of them needing to be set up and maintained.
